Most men would never stand for that, but Konrad Mizzi has autism spectrum disorder problems which make him easy to manipulate (hence Muscat) and she also knows enough to blackmail him. The Nationalist Party is not going to take any interest in the subject of the sale of passports, because too many of its own people are selling them. It will not go beyond scrutinising the inclusion in the electoral roll of those who buy Maltese citizenship.

Muscat, Schembri, and Mizzi welcomed Brexit as a breather. Journalists are no longer breathing down their necks demanding answers. And then, this happens.

Mizzi shows up on a boat with his estranged wife. When they thought that the waters have calmed down and the dust settled, right on cue, they put themselves again under the spotlight.

Let’s hope that while Sai Mizzi is in Malta, journalists come down hard on her and demand answers to so many unanswered questions.
