Turn that around a bit and remember than the UK exists in a global context.

The UK had no need to issue a statement on the coup in Turkey last night, because Boris Johnson had already pronounced himself recklessly on the subject of Erdogan.

He has already affected British Foreign policy negatively because he arrives on the scene with a compromised position. In addition to his diplomatic gaffe, it so happens that Boris Johnson has a personal interest in Turkey since his great grandfather was Turkish.

Now, you are sixty-three you say. I don’t think I should have to need to explain just why a diplomatic gaffe has compromised any other positions the UK may have wished to adopt in this particular instance. That’s just for starters.

Please do not talk down to the Maltese as though we are still natives living under your so called glorious Empire.

I fail to see how voting to leave a union of peace translates into supporting your neighbour in this difficult time. Quite the opposite, I should say.

Now more than ever Europe needs to stand strong, yet the UK – largely England – decided to throw everything into chaos.

Your comment about money and funding just proves that you have been duped by Boris Johnson, Farage et al.
