Yes, indeed the European Union has Labour Laws. On the books. In actual life, it is another story. That is why precarious employment is on the increase. And since we live in a Globalized world (a euphemism for Corporate Empire), we should be seeing (and we are) a downward equalization of wages. A race to the bottom and the complete eradication of the middle class. There is much farther down to go and it will also take with it those that now think they are comfortable – poor deluded folk. The aim is for the Fascist model – a two tiered society of two extremes, the very rich and the abject poor. It will take a few more years, but it will come to pass, in Europe too.
