I repeat your reasoning is warped. There could be no justifiable reason why he did what he did. He believed that it was his right to do as he did.
Having access to more unsuspecting youngsters is not on.

Having sex with one of your pupils is not a mistake. Plying her with alcohol and pills, spending the night in bedroom when her father is away, then driving her to a cliff and encouraging her to jump/pushing her (I think it’s the latter) are not mistakes.

To judge or not to judge has absolutely nothing to do with it.

A teacher should not be in a sexual relationship with a pupil, nor should he drive that pupil to a tall cliff at night after giving her pills and alcohol and having spent the night with her.

It’s not like it was an outing/school trip. The teacher should not have been with the student anywhere, let alone a cliff. I hope you get that.
