The minimum wage for unskilled work, but not for the type of qualifications and responsibility they are asking for.

Aldi pays 9.45 and Lidl 9.35 to its shelf-stackers in London. That’s in GBP per hour of course. If you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

But then perhaps our diplomatic missions are not even staffed by primates and so monkeys will do.

They forgot to include: setting the dinner table, washing-up, taking the rubbish bin out and, of course, cleaning the urinals and the toilets.
I would suppose that not even these duties alone merit being paid at £6.95 to £7.20 an hour in London.
