I am not blaming the European Commission instead of our government and I agree yes, the real blame lies with the government and on those who voted these corrupt people into power.

But when it came to the selling of passports, I would have expected the European Commission to see the threat to the whole European Union. It was so evident and clear.

To be fair, those who voted for this government were completely cheated, in this issue. Their vote in the elections certainly did not endorse selling Maltese citizenship as it was never projected or even mentioned beforehand. (My conscience is clear, anyway.)

Can we stop blaming others? It’s nobody’s fault but our own. The people you should be blaming are the government, those who voted unquestioningly to put it into power, and the Maltese agents who rushed to sell passports and take a cut. Oh, and all the estate agents falling over themselves to make a killing.
