This is the main concern with photos like this. I remember a few months ago, there was a Facebook page called ‘Pretty Girls in Malta’ and the owner basically re-uploaded photos of other women and girls on this page.

Now, legally, there was nothing wrong with this and even Facebook themselves say that content can be uploaded elsewhere. When you publish content or information using the Public setting, it means that you are allowing everyone, including people off Facebook, to access and use that information, and to associate it with you (i.e., your name and profile picture.

But the idea behind that Facebook page was kinda creepy. As they say in Maltese, “Qishom qatt ma raw xejn.”

Of course not. The intended targets are much younger. (Vide all of Janice Bartolo’s suggestive, come-and-get-me pictures on full public view on her Facebook page while she was after the then-still-married-but-only-just Owen Bonnici. )

And it is exactly that knowledge which ultimately keeps away any younger men their age who are interested in some kind of proper relationship. It’s good advertising for a fling, but it’s really bad advertising for a relationship.

You said in another comment that old men like the cabinet minister don’t really know how Facebook works. Looks like this young lady doesn’t, either.

He is the typical ‘technologically inept’ creep who doesn’t fully know how Facebook works.

While it’s very common for old farts to drool over these photos, that is not the original intention of the women who post such photos.
