Once you admitted that you know what the phrase literally means, why then accuse Mrs Caruana Galizia of instigating and inciting violence against you, while threatening at the same time to report her to the Police Commissioner? Is this the last resort that you have up your sleeve designed to win an argument?

Can’t you see that that’s what got us into this mess? Be honest and fair, and speak up as necessary.

The Law Commissioner is sick, and the people around him decided to take the “Do not judge people” stance, much to his and our detriment.

Honestly, Dr Debono, don’t you realise that you are making a spectacle of yourself replying to every tit- bit thrown your way.
Take all the legal action you may deem fit, and for your own good, depart.

You are confusing issues. Psychiatric disorders have a ‘shape’ and a name, just as physical illnesses do. This is the 21st century. People are not locked up on the grounds that they are mad because their opinion differs from the rest.

Whether the man is “doing his best” or not is completely irrelevant. The fact is that his psychiatric disorder has been left untreated, while he has been allowed to enter public life, and the result has been years of damage, including to himself.

And please don’t go out of your way to prove the point I often make: that in Malta, there is such a surfeit of people with untreated (or wrongly treated) psychiatric disorders and other forms of mental illness, that abnormal behaviour is considered entirely normal.
