This video provides a very good perspective on the use of North Korean slave labour in Poland. Malta is mentioned at 18:42 as the only country in the EU besides Poland where North Koreans can ‘legally’ work.

It goes without saying that most of the hard cash ‘earned’ by the slave labourers does not go to them but, following the links, to the North Korean party and ultimately Kim Jong Il himself.
