And all in fulfillment of Mintoff’s “sixth point” that violence is permissible to attain his political ends. Evidently today it is still not accepted by the Labour police to express dissent otherwise one would risk being dispatched illegally to a lunatic asylum.

Where is the promised change by which Muscat cheated the electorate on such a large scale at the last general election? We are still being force-fed the same indigestible oppression suffered in the days of Mintoff and Karmenu MIfsud Bonnici.

Does anyone remember the guy known as Il-Pesu – a rabid Mintoffian who fell out with his hero and went to protest against him at the Auberge de Castille? He was carted off to Mount Carmel Hospital and spent a very long time there.

This reminds me of when medical students tied themselves to the railings of the auberge de Castille in 1977. Dom Mintoff was prime minister and the students were protesting against the Labour Government’s decision to close medical school. It was a peaceful protest and yet the students were beaten by the police and arrested..
