It’s also down to the fact that the international price of oil is less than a third of what it was in mid 2013, yet the price of electricity (they claim – because I don’t believe them) was reduced by only 25%.

The reduction in the price of petrol was a joke and does not in any way reflect the international price of oil.

The strong economy is only for 5 or 6 families and a select crowd of tal-qalba Labour rubbish and hangers-on. The rest make do with the crumbs left over.

The Malta Labour Party risked being kicked out of the European Socialist group because of its stand against Malta joining the European Union.

Muscat is unable to take a broad hint, even when it’s explained to him in simple words. He thinks he can barge through the European Union ignoring everything and everybody. as he’s used to do in Malta.

So he stamps his feet and insists on Brincat’s nomination. Well, how is this in Malta’s interest? At this point, even if the Council of Ministers agrees to appoint Brincat, what is Malta going to gain?

Perhaps someone from the government side could explain how Malta is to benefit from Muscat’s defying, out of sheer spite, the European Parliament.

At this very moment I want to throw my passport in the rubbish and buy virtually any other country’s passport and pretend I was never born here.

True, citizens cannot be blamed along with their government but with Malta having such a small population the perception abroad will not always distinguish the difference between government and its people. I want to get outta here.
