These persons would be nominee directors receiving instructions to act from the ultimate beneficial owners. I suppose the company you mentioned in your comment is this Mr Pawley’s management company (a licensed corporate services provider) which they set up to receive remuneration to carry out their activities (and have their liability limited in doing so).

It’s deplorable how our hospitals have been privatised – selling the lot for three million euro. There are corner houses in Sliema selling for Eur 4 million on some estate agents websites. They said that this entity would be investing two hundred million euro in these hospitals.

The story should have gone differently: the hospitals should have been sold for 200 million euro (if at all) and Vitals should have invested three million euro (as a minimum) in the project.

It stinks. A serious, transparent government would never sign a contract with any company where the ultimate beneficial owner is never disclosed. Definitely bad governance. Konrad Mizzi is corrupt beyond our imagination.
