Reminds me of a situation during the pre-1987 Labour regime.

An acquaintance who then enjoyed undue privileges and promotions because his brother had undue influence on Prime Minister Mintoff, once tried to justify his position to an under-privileged colleague by saying “X’tort ghandi jiena li ghandi hija ….”.

The retort was as simple as it was true: “X’tort ghandi jiena li m’ghandix hija ….”

I suggest you ask who is controlling the strings, and whose interests are being served for those issues to be resolved. With Labour you need to question each sentence and action.
