I not only acknowledge the Nationalist Party’s shortcomings. I write about them. But I cannot be blamed for the very real fact that the Nationalist Party has far, far fewer shortcomings to write about than the Labour Party does.

If a columnist “dismisses issues of concern to various people” then she does not stay a columnist, and a widely read one at that, for 26 years. Surely you should have been able to work that one out for yourself.
