Actually no one has to be charged with anything. If a price can be agreed with Popa for him to admit that he stabbed himself, then that will be the end of the story.

The problem is going to be to convince that mean pig’s daughter that she has to fork out some money to save her and her son’s skin.

She is probably expecting a presidential pardon which comes for free.

I do not ‘rule out’ that Lawrence Cutajar is eyeing the safer way of exiting (read ‘chickening’) out of the Police because of ‘health problems’ of sorts.

Others before him have done that in the last three years in the face of similiarly compromising and embarrassing situations. Maybe not, however – he may by now have grown too fond of dressing up in his dazzling uniform.

You have more faith in the system than I do. I would not bet that the 24hr police ‘protection’ is to guard Mr. Popa against whoever might want to do HIM harm.

How do we know that the police are not there to keep him from coming into contact with anyone who might cause problems and discourage any sort of support for Mr. Popa?
