Shouldn’t Edward Zammit Lewis be eating crow while sitting on a parliament’s back bench following his massive failure to deliver as the minister responsible for Air Malta? But no. Instead of doing the honourable thing Zammit Lewis just throws a red herring in the shape of a Comino touristic rehash for our dilectation. This Air Malta failure looks so bad that Muscat had to handed it back to Zammit Lewis. Up to a few days ago Muscat was still standing in for Zammit Lewis, trying to sanitise the massive failure, but it seems that the issue is still considered as a failure by the people, even though Muscat tried to make it look nice. Muscat’s magic wand has ran out of batteries.

They could merge Air Baksheesh and Air Egrant and call the new set up “American Airlines of Malta”. Would only take five minutes to reach an agreement.

I thought we left the Mintoffian era a long time ago. If Gaddafi were still alive, our prime minister would “go running to Libya for a bail out.” I would have preferred to use different words here.
