Some prople think that once the pipeline is complete, the tanker will be dispensed with.

Wrong – gas can’t be fed straight from the pipeline into the power station. Theread had to be some storage.

Speaking of storms, I have logged 55 kts from the ENE direction, almost at ninety degrees to the floating storage unit in that area.

Given the total surface area of the vessel, and going by the information on Tug Malta’s website, there is not enough tug power available, to work against the pressure exerted by this wind.

The real reason is that this government has committed itself to paying over the odds for the electricity produced by the Gasan/Fenech power station, which will cost the country 70 million euros more every year. So it can’t cut tariffs now only to raise them astronomically a year later.

In reply to pronoia. The Nationalist Party refuses to argue against the sale of Maltese citizenship because too lawyers and accountants associated with it are busy selling citizenship themselves. The party is therefore afraid of being accused of hypocrisy and of upsetting those PN supporters who like the money.

The Nationalist Party does not say anything about that because that collusion in business is normal for Malta’s politicians. I doubt that most of them actually see anything wrong about it personally.

For the same reason, they failed miserably to argue against the sale of Maltese citizenship and the American university. They do not identify the main issue and attack it, for fear of being called negative.

Instead they aim for an issue which is populist, but those issues always have an alternative option so it’s futile. They should argue on the basis of strength on the primary issue, not on the minor issues.

That is how they fail against this government and play into the hands of the puppet-master.
