May I point out to you that while Glenn Bedingfield’s blog, written from the Office of the Prime Minister, is freely available to all government employees (rightly so, I add) Daphne’s Running Commentary has been recently blocked on the government network by MITA.

Whilst agreeing totally with what you wrote here, I am at a loss as to how a person of such integrity, wisdom and experience as Giovanni Bonello does not realise that whenever a Labour-led government asks you to do something, it is never in the interest of the common good.

He lived through the terrible years of the 1970s and 1980s and ought to have known better than to trust a Labour government. And I am saying this not with the benefit of hindsight but with the benefit of experience.

“The friend of my friend is my friend” said the highly intellectual Count Tonnefat.

I mirror that to him, “The corrupt friend of my corrupt friend is my corrupt friend” and my corrupt friend appointed me as an aide to a corrupt government to beat the taxpayers who are paying for my foolishness.

I am still waiting for the corrupt government to publish the accounts of CHOGM/Summit as I have a gut feeling that Labour cronies including the Count are having their pay packets boosted with extra payments/allowances for additional ghost work on these occasions.

I can just imagine the additional allowances and perks that will be misappropriated from the funds available for Malta’s rotating presidency to nourish further the poor Labour cronies.
