When facts are late to the party, they only serve to remind how woefully ineffective the opposing campaign was to start with.

Trump has already gone back on his word on various issues – vetting of Islamic people, affordable care act, not having lobbyists as advisors in his White House transition group, and more. So much for shaking up the system.

Which is why new voters and young liberals have got to be mobilised to vote. For all their “beacon of democracy” rhetoric, the US presidential electoral candidates only managed to grab a miserable 52% of the vote.

Brexit and Trump won because of apathy among the younger generation, amongst many other things.

In reply to Major Tom. What exactly does 'the establishment' have to do with political polling? Politicians are incidental to the Establishment. The Establishment, as the name implies, is not made up of people who are transient.

In reply to NLC. Where people feel that the establishment is acting like the Big Brother, expect to have misleading polls results. Nevertheless, there are other reasons which may be attributed to misleading polls.

Every time you try to have a sound argument with them, all do is repeat the same formula. “Dan rahsilna dawl u ilma u petrol!”, “Nazzjonalisti ma kellhomx korruzjoni ukoll!” and if they think they are “losing” the argument “dawn mhux kollha l-istess. pezza wahda, ghalijhom biss jahsbu”

I am 22, and I think a lot of people my age have been able to move out of the tribal politics mentality – thanks to better education, the internet and the resulting global connection and knowledge.

We are very disillusioned with politics, politicians and their glittery speeches.

While I would love to have a strong alternative party (instead of PN/PL) to support, it’s not a reality yet, because Alternativa Demokratika never appealed to me, and Marlene Farrugia is clearly in it for herself.

So, I have to make do with PN, hoping they will win and do a good job clearing up the shit of the last 5 years.
