Look – do go away and come back after you have learned what ‘establishment’ means. It’s not a new word. It’s an old one. Bankers, senior civil servants, the landed gentry and military officers, for example, were the core establishment in England up to the 1970s. Politicians were ephemeral – only part of the Establishment as long as they were in power, which wasn’t long. My goodness, you really have no idea.

Mrs Clinton is far less a part of the Establishment than Donald Trump has been from birth. I think all you people batting the word ‘Establishment’ about need to first learn what it means.

The members of the Establishment shift and change over generations, but families with serious hereditary wealth on the Upper East Coast of the United States, remain a constant.

Donald Trump has been an intrinsic part of the Establishment since birth. The Establishment does not mean ‘politicians’. It includes politicians, but it also includes business-owners, pillars of society, well-connected families, billionaires like Trump and millionaires like his parents.
