We are getting there. If he is re-elected it will end up a totalitarian state. From being a proud Maltese I have become seriously fed up of the way we are being treated. We are not stupid, ignorant and neither naive, unlike some of the Ministers.

Real journalists have a duty to “harrass” politicians if it is necessary to get at the truth.

This is in the public interest, which they are supposed to serve. To emasculate journalists under the guise of a code of ethics is the thin end of the wedge for government control of the media.

It is not only their right to do so but also their duty. This new code of ethics is simply an attempt to stop journalists from doing their work. It is an attack on democracy.
