In the Westminster system (Britain, Malta), there is only one party in Opposition, just as there is only one party in government, unless there is a formal coalition. The Opposition is defined under the Constitution and is not simply a mix of all those who are not actually on the government benches. Marlene Bon nice did not cross the floor. She resigned the Labour whip, which is different.

I agree entirely that such cases should be heard with urgency, so that, if need be, the courts could rule that either a recount should be heard without any delay or, if this is not possible, that there should be another vote in that particular district.
