A considerable number of British voted for Brexit because they “didn’t think it would happen”. You don’t get much stupider then that.

‘like not voting or even worse, voting for Muscat because you want to teach the Nationalists a lesson and you didn’t think Labour would win.

You have a vote, use it properly for heaven’s sake. It doesn’t matter who you vote for as long as you believe in what you are voting for. If I have no longer have faith in the party I have always voted for but the alternative is worse then YES I will vote even if it is to keep the alternative OUT.

I agree. THE word for 2016 is post-truth. That is very apt for Britain and now the US.In Malta we pre-empted them all. Over here it has been THE word since March 2013.

Jeremy Corbyn quoted Carlo Calenda’s interview during PMQs today at lunchtime, in one of his best performances in the Commons to date.

Calenda’s CV and lineage are impeccable and his thrashing of the current British governing class is very painful. For me, a born Anglophile, it certainly is.
