First the leader of the Opposition announcing a proposal of capping tax at 10% for SMEs, now this “job for life” guarantee from the Labour Party.

Seems like all our (now 71) MPs need to go back to basic economics and discover how a free market actually works. Whatever happened to all those pre-EU entry slogans, such as: we must learn how to adapt; we mustn’t be afraid of competition; we must be prepared to change; and so on and so forth?

Looks like an election is in sight and even the Opposition hasn’t fathomed that it’s principles that count. Seems like it’s seeking to emulate Labour and embarking on a “promise everything to everyone campaign” – irrespective of the consequences. So what’s new?
