People are not less educated now than they were 30 years ago.

In the last few years the world has dumbed down in the most infectious way. I can’t quite put my finger on the cause but I strongly suspect it’s the lack of education and they should start with family values which have now have been overtaken with money instead of morality. I hope that I am wrong because this will take generations to repair.

The word fascist no meaning nowadays, rendered meaningless by the ones who see it everywhere.

The nation state with its tried and tested methods of election and representation is proving itself much more resilient than the thought policing pushed by disdain for the electorate. It requires consistency and accountability, intetnationalism does not and inevitably resorts to collectivism, albeit carefully segmented and intersectionalised.

Identity politics, the current strain of the above, is showing itself to be inherently totalitarian in that it won’t stop seeking to replace the common object of the nation, its politics, with cultural blackmail. Thus the permanent offence and outrage in American universities. A generation of snowflakes.

There is no such thing as multiculturalism, it’s an academic abstraction proposed by politicians to package a ‘vision’.

The problem here is to consider politics as exclusive to its hardened professionals and then blame the electorate as expecting to have its say.
