The majority voted for Hillary Clinton and it's a damn shame they got Donald Trump instead. In a toss-up between Trump and Clinton, no decent, civilised person would choose Trump.

I think that with all the 'exciting' new scandals, now at the rate of 2 or 3 per week, it would not be the end of the world if the posts concerning the international scene were to come in late.

Ms Caruana Galizia's opinion concerning both Brexit and the USA presidential elections were very clear before the unexpected results and consistency has been maintained.

Finally, since the outcome of the presidential election in the USA is not the main concern of the man in the street, I think it is unfair to draw the conclusion you have drawn.

I usually enjoy reading your comments Ms Grech, but I think that in the circumstance you are allowing feelings to supersede logic. It happens to everybody from time to time.

Do please break up your monolithic comments with space-breaks - they are trying on the eyes.

I don't think I ever committed myself on a referendum result - not in Malta, where people are divided 50-50 even on referendum issues. It wasn't exactly 80-90% in favour of divorce legislation, was it?

Yours, like 'Joan Grech's', is a logical fallacy. Failure to agree with the majority does not mean failure to understand how the majority/lots of people think.

I understand only too well how the majority/lots of people think only too well. But that doesn't mean I agree with them - and I don't.

Another logical fallacy of yours and Joan Grech's: if enough people think it, then it must be right. That is the KING of illogical statements.

I think you need to return to bed and pull the quilt over your head - this is obviously not a good day for you.

I am anything but cut off from the man in the street - which is exactly why I have stayed at the top of the readership polls for almost 30 years (quite a feat, wouldn't you say).

I do that precisely because I tap into what people think and how they think it. They may not be able to express it, but they think it.

Trump won, yes - but as the number of votes shows, more people approve of Clinton and think like her.

Just another note you might need: it's because I'm not locked into an office with exactly the same few people, nine to five, five days a week, that I'm free to talk to a wide range of 'men in the street'. And that's how I'm more in tune with how they think than you are.

You don't learn how 'the man in the street' thinks by reading the comments boards.
