Are you putting the question to me or to government and, it seems, the new panel set up to recommend or otherwise appointments to the judiciary? If you are addressing me, my answer is simple and straightforward. He should not be accepted now or in the future. The way he handled the cocaine issue at a MLP club is directly connected, in a negative way, to the integrity expected from a judge.

You’d need to picture the moment to moment in your mind. To my mind, there are two types of cases: the ones that happen irrespectively and merely “happen” to find a “friendly judge” and the intimidation cases where the case is contrived from start to finish with the whole matter a tortuous exercise in isolation, harassment and intimidation, aimed to silence and bring to a standstill.

In the latter case you can be sure that multiple witness testimony against the accused is completely false and provided by the links along the networked recesses (the maze is initially mind-boggling until the interests become apparent and a clue in themselves as to where to look for as yet unrevealed corruption), and any witness for will at some point in ‘negotiations’ become convinced not only to turn against but to open a vexatious suit in turn so as to build pressure, complicity of witness and false pattern.

Not to mention the years of build up by the parties in question.

That, is Labour in action – and it is happening.

Tell me, how different is it from being physically pummelled to a pulp? Mind games: Labour’s new area of expertise.

This, is not an attack simply against a person. Its aim is to destroy what a reasonably unassuming person inherently stands for by simple virtue of existence and direction, and to safeguard against generations of history being repeated. A payback and insurance. How to break what won’t bend.

The moral argument is an engagement where each should be responsible for his own humanity and that of others.

The way the moral argument has been twisted by Joseph Muscat is that corruption is an engagement where each is made, and paid, to cover for his own corruption and that of others.

In reply to callixtus. The Planning Authority (then MEPA) had been within Labour control since before the 2008 election. The fact that it was not overtly shown to be so is just because Labour lost that election with a very slim margin.
