First you make sure to appoint a puppet as police commissioner and then your line of defence is ‘lack of evidence’. Labour claims ‘lack of evidence’ even when there is ample evidence such as in the case of the Panama Papers. Most people are not fools and they can formulate an opinion based on logic.

Kev, can you explain to us how a man can stab himself while up a tree (and why he would want to climb a tree in the first place) with a big kitchen knife and then somehow make the knife disappear?

I prefer Occam’s razor: Popa was chased after being stabbed in the heat of the moment, and went up that tree to escape another blow.

Another parallel would be a case where everybody is talking about the dangers in a particular swimming area where a large shark has been seen by many. You tell us that no danger exists, that is safe to swim there until a shark is actually filmed while eating a human being, as that will provide you with the required evidence.

Others have asked you to explain strange statements in the police report on this case but your only answer is, “Be patient until you have solid proof of the existence of that shark.”
