We’re in full agreement here, Daphne. I suppose I wasn’t clear enough because I forgot that you’re reading lots of comments in random order and I took for granted what I had said before.

The ones with the top winning hand were the Democrats (not Hillary) with Bernie Sanders, who I discussed previously. The Democrats had it all laid out for them – the election could have been a widely-loved progressive grass-roots champion vs. a bumbling, bigoted buffoon – but, as I said in an earlier comment, they corruptly and underhandedly worked against Sanders to favour Hillary, their insider who as you rightly say is old stuff.

That was the key mistake and it was made at the outset. The people then resented having Hillary pushed into their face and, rightly or wrongly, they rebelled. Many of the votes the Dems got were reluctant keep-Trump-out votes and it didn’t have to be like that.

I see. My apologies to Jozef, then, for not being as kind and gentle as he was when he hurled his flattering remarks.
