We are at the same stage as before but worse still, and remember we were in need of more punch which did not come from the traditional Nationalist Party.

We were quiet, peaceful people but times were harsh and punch was needed.

I’ve also experienced cancer in my family but we never blamed it on anyone. But I understand Salvu Mallia’s comment and I’m in no way deterred by it. On the contrary I fully agree with him in that Labour is the “misfortune” of our country.

Before the election, Joseph Muscat repeatedly claimed that the power station is a cancer factory, even when that claim was dismissed by doctors. So of course he uses the word cancer where it suits him to reach his personal goals. Now it is taboo for him, because it is the truth.

People forget that if someone discovers he is seriously ill, it does not mean that he suddenly becomes stupid or that he starts taking words out of context and become ultra sensitive to them.

Joseph Muscat tries to bank on this sort of perception, indirectly treating cancer patients as crazy, paranoid, stupid and hypersensitive individuals without any sense of perspective.

Well done to this regular reader who clearly proved that his reasoning is very lucid and that his intelligence is still intact. He implies that the best way to respect a cancer patient is to call a spade a spade and not through the creation of taboo as an integral attempt of mass manipulation.

I hope that everyone, not just Nationalist Party spokespersons, refrains from hesitating because of how the Labour Party media machine will manipulate the stories. They will manipulate them anyway. These

People just need one last push to be induced by clear statements that are to the point that convey the feeling of complete honesty.
