They said what they did in parliament because the truth was hidden from them too, and they found out through this website, but prefer not to believe it like they preferred to believe I ‘invented’ the Panama companies until the story broke around the world.

The only two people who know the facts in that cabinet are the Prime Minister and Konrad Mizzi. The rest are being lied to, like the electorate is being lied to.

It should be obvious to you that I wouldn’t report a form of cancer in such specific detail unless I had the facts. I would just say “cancer”, but I know what kind of cancer and the prognosis.

If some newspaper were to report that I have X cancer and the prognosis is Y, when it isn’t true, I wouldn’t leave my friends and colleagues to go around denying it. I would issue a statement myself. You will have noticed that Schembri hasn’t issued one, and that when he wrote to the Data Protection Commissioner to order me to take down my posts about the subject, he argued on grounds of ‘privacy’ and not ‘untruth’.

Yesterday there seemed to be a complete denial and they referred to his terminal illness as nothing more than a rumour. If the prognosis is so bad (very high mortality rate within a year) why would they even bother? Wouldn’t their argument have been merely on the lines of respecting the sick? There’s no doubt he is dealing with some health problems but the nature of which still remains to be seen.

He will be called something else.

And their salaries are the least of it. They’really a petty consideration in a massive octopus of scandal.
