The solution is in plain view: fire two out of three employees. Air Malta has at least 300% the workforce of other similarly sized airlines.

But because it will be unpopular, they play ostrich. Or they employ the few people that they decided to fire as gardeners. Fundamentally, that company won’t make any money until it stops being a charity and starts being an airline.
