One Libyan lad told a foreign news reporter during the early days of the popular uprising against the tyrant:

“We have lived for forty years under one tyrant, Gaddafi. We don’t want to live another forty years under seven Gaddafis”.

In that simple sentence you have the reason why the people chose to die rather than live under Saif al-Islam Gaddafi and his six brothers and sisters.

I have read of many aircraft being hijacked, and in all cases, no exception, a running commentary went on, and this included what the hijackers were demanding, or hoping to achieve by their action.

What is wrong with you? Where did I write or imply that this hijack was connected with Islamist terrorism? Where did I say it was a hoax?

I only said that it was strange and this is mainly due to the fact that hijackers demand something. Read carefully before you tap the keyboard.

Okay, let me spoon-feed you. When you have a political message to convey – that being, ‘we are barred from forming a pro-Gaddafi party’ – you want to make sure things don’t get violently out of hand.

I’m sure the passengers were told from the outset that they were to be released the moment they touched ground. Also, the chances that most of the passengers were Gaddafi loyalists is high, given that most Libyans have long recognised the West’s nefarious intentions in wrecking their country.
