Muscat’s target audience isn’t the Maltese voter.

He is 100% sure of their blind loyalty. But he is faced with the fact his own supporters now know he lied when he denied Keith Schembri was ill.

And this is why he stands there and feeds them the bullshit that it is the Nationalist Party who are responsible for spreading “fake news”, rather than he who lied.

He is trying to direct their focus from his lies to the Nationalist Party’s “fake news”.

If he’s ever back in the office, he’ll be out again in no time. What does Muscat plan to do when the inevitable happens?

I don’t want Muscat’s apologies. He should face justice. His crooked minister Konrad Mizzi apologised. Where did that leave us?

Look here, you arrogant arse: you aren’t a two-year old acting out with your mother, nor are you coming over all heavy husband with your wife.

You are the Prime Minister, so until you resign, are booted out, or drop dead, you have no authority to stop anyone questioning you, nor can you refuse to answer. You are accountable to each and every one of us, so man up.

But we are waiting for his apology for the lies he told about the power station, the Panama companies, the fake international audit, the use of his personal email to sanction a deal for the Cafe Premier, the Gaffarena deal, the visas, the passports, the infamous deals with the GWU, and so many others.

Where is his apology for all of that and more?

In fact, he officially croaked only when all the ministers’ companies whose ownership he fronted were transferred. It must have been like the scene in Blackadder I where Edmund and the Bishop fight over a dying man for his signature to a will that favours each of them respectively.
