You should be clear on it yourself and know the law of the land in which you live, instead of expecting hand-outs of knowledge from political parties. If you don’t do that, you are part of the disease. You should be aware that Malta (like every other EU member state) has anti-money-laundering legislation which makes the confiscation of assets mandatory. And you should also know that the confiscation of assets is only possible if those assets are traceable, which is one of the reasons why Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi and in all probability Joseph Muscat are diverting their illicit gains to bank accounts connected with nominee companies in secretive jurisdictions.

Massive corruption has engulfed the country since the Labour Party was sworn in to government, and has pervaded every aspect of public life, suffocating the real economy – as distinct from the evanescent and debilitating criminal economy which has boomed. The corruption we know about is bound to be just the tip of the iceberg.
