1. Janice Bartolo is not the Justice Minister’s ‘partner’. She is his girlfriend. ‘Girlfriend’ and ‘partner’ are not interchangeable.

2. Janice Bartolo is a Labour Party propagandist and has a very high public profile of her own. She works for a political party, not an independent newspaper.

3. If Owen Bonnici were not a cabinet minister, she wouldn’t be dating him.

4. She uses his official car and chauffeur and makes no attempt at staying out of the limelight.

With due respect, I do not think Janice has anything to do with this. Being a partner of a minister should not be a target.

You’re not serious, are you? The European Commission hasn’t stopped praising and cooperating with Muscat. They’re in bed with him, so do you seriously think that they’re going to turn against him? Even Muscat himself is surprised by the full compliance and cooperation he’s found from the Commission. Millionaires of a feather flock together – understand it.
