‘Our party’ and ‘my party’ are wrong not only because they are Maltese English, but mainly because they reveal your possessiveness and the way you see the Nationalist Party as your private club – a fact revealed even further by the rest of your comment here. Newcomers aren’t welcome, are they.

It’s still not your party. It’s your party, like your government, when you actually lead it. Maltese people say ‘my party’ – other people say ‘the party I support/vote for/work for’.

In reply to Daphne Caruana Galizia. It's the party I believe in. I'm a proud member of that party. I have dedicated a lot of time to the party and did not expect anything in return. It is the party I chose. Yes, it is my party. It is not my party as in 'owning' the party. And in that sense, not even the party leader 'owns' the party.

The first solution as soon as Simon Busuttil became party leader should have been to create a brand new team rather than make do with what there was. Unfortunately it’s too late now. It’s just months away from the start of a new election campaign.
