The Maltese political scenario is scary. I have well nigh given up on it, especially after the last general election. I could see though the Labour propaganda machine. I knew Labour could not be trusted with meritocracy, and that’s coming from a person who was raised in a Labour-leaning family.

I do not want to call these ‘interesting times’.

And just as I was thinking of moving back to the US after I finish what I need to finish here, Trump gets elected. Having a president throwing a hissy fit on a daily basis is not a good sign.

You’d think young children may not care about politics, but my two children have picked up enough vibes to know that he is not presidential material.

Talk about being caught between the Devil and the deep blue sea. Of course there are other options, but it is sad that Malta has come to this state of affairs.

It took them a while, didn’t it. I’ve been saying for years that Pullicino is a psychiatric case and Bartolo is a weird snake. Meanwhile, everybody else has been reporting on their activities as though they are frigging normal, and presenting them to the public as entirely valid and psychologically balanced. Incredible.

Their press conference was as bizarre as expected. Bartolo spoke about bishops and Pullicino spoke about Mario Demarco and Daphne. They couldn’t find a better name for their venue – Bacchus – as they both looked stoned and pie-eyed.
