And each time Herman Grech let Bedingfield get away with pointing the finger at the “dirty Nationalists” as though that is a valid excuse to carry on.

Bedingfield is answerable to the people, not to the Opposition. The fact that the government dismisses any criticism from the Opposition because the Opposition are “not worthy” is another nail in democracy’s coffin.

Anything they can do or implement to hinder or stop you is considered par for the course. Keep at it and expose them fully in whatever way you can.

No, they clam up. What is done to me is not done to harass me and make me quit criticising the Labour Party/government. After almost 30 years, they know I’m not going to quit.

It’s done pour encourager les autres. In other words, to show other journalists: look, if you do what she does, this is what will be done to you. And that’s why I’m practically alone in this particular theme and way of doing things.

Marlene Farrugia is busy shredding them in a very similar way, yes – but she’s protected from Labour wrath as long as her companion is the party whip. If he resigns, all her protection goes and it’s going to be open season on Marlene Farrugia. I’ll say that’s the main reason Godfrey Farrugia won’t be resigning any time soon, and is looking increasingly miserable about it.
