Fact is, many people are disgruntled not because of the corruption but because they didn’t get what they were promised they would get. It doesn’t mean they are voting for the Nationalist Party.

I sincerely hope you’re right. These people, however, are so nefarious that I wouldn’t put anything past them including, as Matthew here said, election rigging.

They did try to rig the election in 1981 and 1987. I still think the 1987 election was rigged because, in the face of the hell that was Malta that time, 5,000 (circa) votes majority was a pittance, let’s face it.

Be that as it may, we are not living in a sane and true democracy. This is a dictatorship of sorts. Besides, switchers will not admit they committed a devastating mistake and people, in general, are just happy to have money in their pockets. T

hey couldn’t care less about what’s going on. So, I’m not convinced Labour will not win the day by a huge majority. I, however, hope I’m wrong. Very very wrong.
