You’re wrong to presume to read this man’s mind, just as he is wrong to presume to read the mind of us in the working class. He may very well envy nothing and no one.

So he’s working class, and he cherishes his roots, and he’s happy. But I’m not. But he declares that I am happy after all, because all the Maltese love working class things, and if I’m not happy about my station then I should be, and what’s more, if I don’t go crazy about pastizzi, and if I don’t cherish my working class origins, then I’m not authentic Maltese.

And that, Jozef, is fascism.

P.S. With his sort chairing the National Book Council, it’s no bloody wonder all Maltese so-called literature is about pali tal-fucking bajtar, and Gahan, and Dunkarmjanizmu, including in the erotic novels. Never has a people been this self-obsessed since the Jews.

Interesting – here’s the National Book Council’s remit, taken from its website.

The National Book Council is the public entity which caters the Maltese book industry with several important services whilst striving to encourage reading and promote the book as a medium of communication in all its formats.

It organises the Malta Book Festival and the National Book Prize amongst other national as well as smaller scale events, administers Public Lending Rights, organises several literary contests and is also the local agent for ISBN and ISMN.

The National Book Council’s markedly cultural mindset and multi-mediatic approach enables it to work directly with the book industry, however as an entity, it falls under the remit of the Ministry of Education and Employment and has always been considered as part and parcel of the public educational infrastructure.

Malta Libraries which is the public entity responsible for all public libraries including the National Library is a separate and distinguished entity which works in close collaboration with the National Book Council.

What a totally inappropriate rant from this evidently deeply unpleasant human being.

It hasn’t lost its meaning at all. If anything is more of a threat today than it has been for decades. And the people who hate fascism most are not left of centre at all. In fact it is the so-called left of centre or working class voters have been gravitating towards today’s fascist leaders like Trump, Le Pen, Farage, Orban, Petry and Salvini.

It is the traditional conservatives and liberals like me who hate fascism with a passion. Communists and fascists have a long history of sleeping together to screw liberal democracy.
