It could be that I’m too suspicious but it’s possible that the government will eventually remove the need to register websites but leave everything else in the law, and perhaps that was the intention all along.

Everyone will be happy that public opinion has won some victory and “a balance was found”. But it will still become illegal to comment on the private affairs of ministers and politicians.
