The Malta Independent had reported that they had welcomed the decision protecting your source, a decision taken on the basis of the fact that you are a journalist.

Not that it matters really. With all due respect to pastry chefs, it’s the message that needs to be judged not the messenger and it would be equally strong (if less eloquently expressed) if put forth by a pastry chef.

The distinction is only important to those who cannot rebut an argument on the merits and have to fall back on ad hominem attacks.

The subject of ad hominem attacks brings Saviour Balzan to mind. Yesterday his newspaper reported a murder in Marsa. The article said “MaltaToday is also reliably informed that Farrugia had dealt in cocaine”

How is that different from your report on Cardona? I suspect the only difference is that the murder victim is no longer around to take up the matter. I’m just wondering if anyone has managed to get a good look at the size of Saviour Balzan’s hands.
