Without any shadow of doubt. This Government clearly gets an orgasmic kick – can’t help using Ian Borg’s historic quote – out of demonstrating to the Maltese public that it is overwhelmingly powerful and can get away with murder.

Vide Cyrus Engerer’s appointment to Dar Malta in Brussels after his conviction on appeal, Manwel Mallia’s return to politics, Michael Falzon’s golden handshake of a fresh start at a government post after his dismissal/pseudo resignation, and many others of which I have lost count, the most recent one being that of Lino Farrugia Sacco.

The strategy has been systematic, constant and pervasive throughout these four years, and will take an even more aggressive aspect if Labour wins a second term. By then all masks will have fallen off.

Really, no need of any, any longer as the first five years would have given proof, if this happens, that the Maltese are a mere bunch of fools and idiots that do not deserve any better.

This morning in the usual traffic jam just before the St Venera tunnels, direction towards Sliema/St Julian’s. First drives a policeman, shouting and waving at other drivers to pull to the side. Then GM 14 cruises by, with Carmelo Abela on the passenger seat with his head buried in his smartphone. A blue Volkswagen Polo was closely tailing GM 14.

When will we get rid of them? When?
