Yes, that bit about ostracising the women when a couple breaks up is true. This is because men are considered more valuable in social terms. They have better networks, they usually have a career and money, which the women tend not to, and the women in the other couples, who call the shots socially – lunches, parties etc – prefer to have spare men around to flirt with, rather than spare women.

I always do the opposite, and back the women.

In reply to Batman. The same thing applies to the comment, often in Maltese: "it makes you ashamed to be Maltese". I am never ashamed to be Maltese. I look on these other people with fierce distaste and wonder how it came to be that we have absolutely nothing in common.

I have always liked your wit and “the seeing beyond”, not that I always agreed, and in NO WAY are you responsible for Acapulco Cardona’s children’s well-being.

HE IS, and they have most probably experienced worse. I very much doubt he cares about them one bit, nor about any one else including his political party.
