In a way this reminds me of Alfred Sant’s statement back in the day that the Times of Malta ie the owners should not complain about their building being burnt own because as a result they have a ‘much nicer’ building. He may have thought that he was being drole but he really wasn’t.

I see the prime minister too is pretending that Joseph Gerada wasn’t at a brothel with Cardona and hasn’t perjured himself in court like Cardona did, taking a false oath twice as justification for freezing your bank account.

This is rich. I know you’ve written it yourself in your post but I must repeat it as a sanity check.

Minister Cardona’s precautionary warrant is forgiven and forgotten and will not tarnish the Maltese government’s reputation not because he has withdrawn it, but because crowd-funders came to the rescue. Please tell me that I have misunderstood the PM’s statement.
