In reply to Daniel Borg. Clarification: the one Mintoff bummed, after it was scrapped by India I believe - open to correction. The only thing Mintoff ever built was a huge Swiss bank account.

Josef il-Prim felt triumphant when he closed down “il-fabbrika tal-kankru” that Mintoff built. We now know that they closed it down too early as the one in Marsaxlokk alone can’t handle all the load. The new one is still being built with ConRat still refusing to give a deadline.

Although not impossible of course I find it hard to believe it was an interconnector fault again, the second in a month. Is it possible there is no Enemalta engineer who was on duty when the outage occured and who can thus shed some light on this, say through this website?
