They have waited for more than a year for clearance to go to Malta and seem to have been held off with the sort of false promises used to keep Maltese reporters away.

Extradition doesn’t happen on a whim. There needs to be a proper investigation first.

Corruption.This is the real meaning of the word – subversion of official power structures and the attendant checks and balances to serve the interests of the corrupt.

The cash backhander in a brown envelope is the least of it. Petty bribery can only occur because much worse goes on at the top.
