Claire Gauci Borda and her sister Louisa Dalli fronted their father’s business operations while he was an EU Commissioner.

They took on that responsibility knowing full well that he was statuoiky barred from homding any sort of active business interests. That knowledge did not stop them acting on his behalf when he set up a company called Tyre Limited, hired a beach house in The Bahamas, rented out at least one Sliema flat for known international fraudsters traveeling using fake passports in false names, collecting money from trusting and vulnerable elderly people in the US under false pretences, squirrilling the money away on behalf of their fraudster client, and then threatening the defrauded when they asked for their money back.

When meetings were held in The Bahamas, it was John Dalli and Louisa Dalli who travelled there, and not Louisa Dalli and Claire Gauci Borda – and this when they both knew that a sitting EU Commissioner
Is barred from offering any sort of professional services, even without any remuneration.

It is difficult for an honest man to believe that a professionally competent young woman would turn out, in middle age, to be as decadently corrupt as her father and mentor. The clue is in that professional competence. As they say, the apple never falls far from the tree. Professionally, John Dalli is skilled. But can he be trusted?

As a competent auditor, Claire Gauci Borda in particular – more than her sister Louisa Dalli – could not have been unaware that there was somehing very dubious about the background, set up, and operations of Tyre Limited.

Even had she been taken in initially, a competent AND HONEST professional would have handled the inevitable fallout differently, making sure the defrauded are compensated for loases which are, ultimately her fault.

If Dalli had a shred of deceny, he would take the flak. If he doesn’t own up to having deceived his dsughters, then they are as guilty as he is.

I am sorry to disillusion you about Claire, but our experience with her was not good at all. I think these fraudsters have two different personalities and depending on the situation. You will see one or the other.

Claire pretty much let us know that there was nothing we could do, especially if we went to the authorities or the police.

There is no way in the world that a convicted fraudster who used many aliases could operate, like Ms Corbin/Swan, could operate unless someone was fronting her with a business and bank account to work out of.

And she was hunted by Interpol so she would have to hide out somewhere. Who do you think might have kept her safe, and everything provided, to set up her fraud?

Exactly. They are roughly the same age as Konrad Mizzi and Owen Bonnici, and nobody is blaming THEIR parents.
