In reply to observer. Easy does it. November, the increase and tax exemption were announced in the budget. Today the news scooped that for the first time since 1981 government had registered a surplus. Immediately the Joey jumps on the bandwagon and announces that this is where my and your pension fall in line. Follow the medias dears and you will hear the Joey solemnly declare that another Labour promise has been fulfulled. That our pension has leaped from 25% to 0 just like a kangaroo. It is all about propaganda, votes, power and not our humble miserable pensions. Oh dears me the Common Wealth no longer belongs to Her Majesty but to the one and only Greater Than Thou European.

I am 100% in agreement with Observer. I am a pensioner and my pension has only been increased with the cost of living allowance, and income tax is still deducted.

I am a pensioner. My pension has not increased, except by the annual cost of living bonus. Neither has income tax been abolished on it. Period.
